Barry Chandler is the founder and Managing Director of ManageYourBar.com. He began his hospitality career in Ireland in 1993 when he trained and worked as a waiter and bartender. In 1997, Barry joined the five star resort Adare Manor on Ireland's west coast as Trainee Hotel Manager where he spent two years moving from department to department learning the skills necessary to manage a hotel.

This was followed by a year as part of the management team of a new bar/hotel complex in Galway, Ireland where Barry oversaw the recruitment and staffing of a five bar complex.

In 1999, he joined Cunard Cruise Line as part of the Dining Room team where he was part of a sixty strong dining room team catering to 600 guests four times a day. After 18 months gaining valuable experience front of house, he transferred to the purchasing department and assisted in the forecasting, ordering and stock control of all food, beverage and consumable items needed by the ship. After 8 months he was promoted to Food & Beverage Controller responsible for the entire purchasing operation making him the youngest to ever hold that position. He travelled between three ships in this position which saw him having to manage the needs of six-star ships while cruising in Asia, Europe, North & South America and Africa. During his time as F&B Controller, Barry reduced onboard stock leveles to their lowest levels and achieved record budgetary results.

After two years in this position, Barry decided to gain further certification for his career and spent a year in Salzburg, Austria where he gained a Diploma in International Food & Beverage Management as well as certificates in Kitchen Management and Restaurant Service.

On graduation Barry worked for Sheraton Hotels and Micros Fidelio, before founding http://Stocktaking.ie, an inventory control service in Ireland. A year later he co-founded the Irish Bar Management Resource http://Barkeeper.ie and a year later the UK Pub Management Resource http://Barkeeper.co.uk which provide management tools and templates to more than 1000 businesses in Europe.

Barkeeper.ie was voted Ireland's Best Business to Business Website in 2007 and Barry was a finalist in the Price Waterhouse Coopers Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2006.
